Castform

COMPLETED: 84 GOAL: 649?







Been very busy at work and decided to start back crocheting with some easier Pokemon. I figured I would do the Castforms, because no one has done anything past the first form. Here are my first two of the four. I will post the others as soon as I finish them.I started with the pieces that are the same for all the forms and then I listed the pieces unique to their forms under their names.

Materials: crochet hook (I use 'F'), light gray, off white, dark orange, medium orange, light yellow, medium purple, light purple, light sage green, medium blue, light blue,very light blue, medium gray and black yarn, black and white felt, polyfil, glue

Head/Body (all forms):

This will be the same for all forms. Use a light gray for the normal, a dark orange for the sunny, medium purple for the snowy and medium blue for the rainy.

With desired color, 6 sc in magic circle (6)
Row 1: 2 sc in each sc around (12)
Row 2: sc next, 2 sc next, around (18)
Row 3: sc next 2, 2 sc next, around (24)

Begin stuffing

Weave tail through loops and pull closed.

Eye Patch (all forms):

This will be the same for all forms. Use an off white for normal, a light yellow for sunny, a light purple for snowy and light blue for rainy.

Stuff the base of the swirl with a small amount of stuffing, but do not stuff the tip. You will then be able to give it its swirl appearance.

Base:(the base consists of two small balls and a ball with a tail, I made all the shapes separately and then joined them together)

Beginning with one small ball, sl st in one of the four sc in last row, sc in same st and in other three, ch 1, join with other small ball with sl st, sc in same st and in remaining three, ch 1, join with ball with tail (pick up a stitch close to center of magic circle) with sl st, ch 1, join to first ball with sl st, sc around, should be 11 sc.

Sew to body/head. The tail facing backwards.

Finish: Cut two small black circles for eyes and two smaller white circles for pupils. Glue to center (magic circles) of eye patch. Embroider small mouth with black just under eye mask.

Before you finish, you may want to put a little bit of stuffing at the tip of the rain drop, the rest of the drop will be flattened.

For the base I used a modified version of the popcorn stitch.

Row 6:ch 2, *3dc next 4, drop loop on hook, go back to first dc and pick up front loop, pick up front loops for the rest of the dc, with the loop you dropped the last to be put on hook (you should have 12 loops on your hook), yo and pull through all loops, tighten and ch 1* repeat 7 times
Row 7: sc in top st of popcorn st, ch 1, around (8 sc, 8 ch)
Row 8: sc around (16)
Row 9: sc next 2, dec over next 2, around (12)

Stuff lightly, but do not over stuff, because you want the base to remain flat. Sew to body/head.


 
 
Finish: Cut two small black circles for eyes and two smaller white circles for pupils. Glue to center (magic circles) of eye patch. Embroider small mouth with black just under eye mask.

Sc in same st as sl st and in remaining sc, ch 1, join with larger ball with sl st, sc in same st as sl st and in remaining sc, ch 1, join with 2nd smaller ball with sl st, sc in same st as sl st and in remaining sc, ch 1, join with ball with tail (pick up stitch close to magic circle), ch 1, join to 1st small ball (18 sc 4 ch)
Row 2: dec over next 2, around (11)

Position base to bottom of head/body and sew on. The large ball is facing the front, the ball with tail is facing back.

Finish: Cut two small black circles for eyes and two smaller white circles for pupils. Glue to center (magic circles) of eye patch. Embroider small mouth with black just under eye mask.
