FO Sew into point.
The instructions for the fins are a bit confusing when you get to rows 2 and 3, very easy to get lost. So underneath the rows I wrote out the stitches, so you can work across the piece without worrying about if you are in the right sc, hdc or dc. Keep in mind that the stitch(s) found between each pair of comas corresponds to one stitch from the row below.

Fins: (make 2)
With grey, ch 27
Row 1: begin in 2nd ch from hook, sc next 6 sc, hdc next 4 sc, dc next 3 sc, hdc next 3 sc, dc next 3 sc, hdc next 2 sc, sc next 5 sc, turn (26)
Row 2: skip 1st sc, sl st next 4, sc next, 2 sc next, hdc next 2, 2 hdc next, sc next 3, 2 hdc next, hdc next 2,  sc next 2, 2 hdc next, hdc next, hdc next 2, dc next, sc next 3 sc, turn (30) Place a marker at last sc-this will be the front of the fin
Row 3: skip 1st sc, sc next 2, 2 sc next, sc next, hdc next, 2 hdc next, hdc next, 2 hdc next, dc next, sc next 2, 2 dc next, dc next, 2 dc next, hdc next, hdc next, 2 hdc next, hdc next, 2 sc next, sc next, 2 sc next, hdc next, 2 sc next, sc next, sc next, sl st next (35)

FO Sew to body. Front of fin should be sewn to row 9. The end of the fins will hang over past the body. Sew one fin to the right side of the body and the second to the left side. Once both fins have been sewn to body, sew the fins together at the tail end.

Using black yarn embroider lines down both sides of the body extending down to end of tail. Using yellow yarn embroider wavy line down length of body. Using black and white yarn embroider eyes. Cut mouth out of red felt and sew to front of body.
